Photowalk to Nandigram

A jaunt to the magnificent architecture...with history dating back to 1200 years..a stones throw away from Nandi Hills...If mythology is to be believed, Lord Shiva spent a fraction of his life here...

It is located about 60 km North of Bangalore and about 5970 ft above sea level. Nandi Hills is also known by name Nandi Gram or Nandi Durga. Nandi Hills was Tippu Sultan's summer retreat. There is Tippu's summer residence but it is not open to public.

The place is bound to keep you overwhelmed with its unadulterated architechture, rich history, scenic beauty and holiness all around. The air is replete with the concoction of varied fragrances of ghee and incense sticks.

The center of the temple boasts of gigantic pool hedged by innumerable steps, again a spot which just cannot be missed.

This temple being one of my personal favorites, makes me fall in love with this place all over again every time I reminisce these snaps.
